Writers' Workshop - led by Amber Hayward

Author Amber Hayward will share her knowledge and enthusiasm for writing on Saturday, March 24 from 10 a.m. until noon, and again in the afternoon from 2 - 4. A variety of styles of writing will be covered, from memoir and short fiction to character development for longer stories and novels. Amber’s focus will be on inspiration and impetus to get you started.The cost of the workshop is $30/person. If you would like to book lunch, it’s $12. Writers who would like to book the weekend at the Black Cat will receive a 10% discount off our regular winter rate of $90/room/night.
Amber has given herself a great challenge - to write a short story every day from May 1, 2011 to April 30, 2012. It’s been a wonderful learning experience and a change of pace for this novelist whose third novel came out in September 2011. The stories can be seen at www.AmberHayward.ca.
