Cultural & Natural History of the Canadian Rockies
May 4 - 14, 2010
This is a joint program held in conjunction with the Company of Adventurers and Routes to Learning.
The first 5 days are spent in Banff with intensive instruction in the ecology of the wolf, plus wildlife and landscape photography. Interesting facts about Banff history and colourful characters of the Canadian west will be learned at the Whyte Museam.
A sight-seeing bus takes participants up the scenic Banff-Jasper highway to the Black Cat Guest Ranch for the second portion of the program. Horse Lore and geology/ecology of the Canadian Rockies will be featured, as well as classes in journal & memoir writing. A field trip to Maligne Canyon with Jasper geologist and interpretive guide Ben Gadd rounds out the week, then it's back to Banff on the last day of the program.
